Our story

Every model starts with a track

Your watch records every step of a trip, then the line disappears into an app. TrackMade turns it back into the place you were: the real mountains, valleys and coastline, built from satellite elevation data, with your route set into it in red.

It started on our own trek to Everest Base Camp in October 2025. The footage here is from that week, and the Everest Base Camp model in our photos is made from that exact track: seven days, 67.7 km, up to 5,364 m.

Each model is set up by a person, not a template. We choose the crop, the stops and the lettering for your trip, send you the 3D model to approve, and only then make it, to order, in Australia.

Questions

How do I find my activity link?
  1. Strava: tap Connect with Strava in step 1 and tick your activities. Or open the activity → Share → Copy link.
  2. Garmin Connect: open the activity, tap the cog (⚙) → Edit → Privacy → Everyone, then Share → copy the link. You don’t need to download anything; we fetch the track from the link.
  3. Komoot / AllTrails: open the tour → Share → Copy link.

Stuck? Skip it. Tap No GPS file, tell us the trail and dates, and reply to your order email with a screenshot of your map. Nothing is made until you approve your 3D model.

Which files can I upload?

GPX, FIT, TCX, KML and KMZ, plus the zip Garmin Connect gives you on a computer (Export Original). Several files for a multi-day trip is fine. On a phone a link is usually easier than a file.

I don't have a GPS file. Can you still make one?

No worries. Tap "No GPS file" in step 1 and pick a famous route, or type your favourite (for example "Bibbulmun Track, Albany to Walpole"). We build it from the official route and send an order confirmation with the 3D model.

What are the sizes?

Classic is 200 mm on the long side and Signature 250 mm. Height depends on the terrain; big mountains stand 5–7 cm tall.

What is it made of?

Precision 3D printed in matte PLA, in layers 0.08–0.2 mm thin, then checked before it ships: white terrain, grey engraved text and a scarlet red slot-in route with numbered stops. Display it indoors and out of direct sun.

Shipping and timing

Ships Australia-wide with tracking. Order confirmation within 2 days, making takes 2–3 days after you approve, then 2–5 days in the post.

What if it arrives damaged?

Send us a photo through the contact form within 14 days of delivery and we'll remake it or refund you. Every model is packed in foam, so it's rare.

Can I change my mind?

Until you approve your 3D model you can change anything for free, or cancel for a full refund. Once it's made it's one of a kind, so we can't take change-of-mind returns. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law always apply. Shipping & returns
